In some cases, laser eye surgery is not possible, or is not possible to perform at a low risk – i.e. high dioptre values, or a cornea that is too thin. Too much tissue would have to be removed or interfering optical phenomena, such as halos, could occur.
For such patients we offer refractive lens surgery without a laser, i.e. lens implants, at our eye laser centres in Vienna, Linz and Graz. Either an additional artificial lens is inserted into the eye, or one’s own lens is replaced with an artificial one.
